I graduated from North Greenville University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics. For five years, I was a teacher at SHARE Head-start, where I was a part of a study team that focused on the environmental effects on children in school. I welcomed eight infants to the program, and worked with them, as their teacher, until the age of four. I am forever grateful for the time there and how it shaped me as a teacher and how it taught me the importance of building relationships with my students and their families. For over a year, I worked as an Early Interventionist (E.I.) ; where I worked with children with developmental delays, and their families, to help educate and enhance the child’s learning and development. Being an E.I. taught me a great deal of teaching techniques. It also helped me gain insight in the way children learn best, and helped me to understand that every child CAN learn, no matter what. For eight years, I taught middle school mathematics for Greenville County Schools. I am excited to use my mathematical background, along with my educational skills, towards this school year’s business curriculum.
