GMC Enrollment Information:
Greer Middle College Charter High School is a public charter high school in the South Carolina Public Charter School District. Any student in South Carolina may apply to attend tuition free. Nestled on the campus of the Greenville Technical College-Benson Campus, GMC’s campus includes an Academic Building and an Activities Center. GMC serves a maximum of 550 students grades 9th-12th. Students have the unique opportunity to take classes, if they wish, at Greenville Tech beginning their sophomore year. GMC requires students to complete the Senior Capstone requirement which enables students to explore creative outlets, potential career opportunities, and find out more about themselves in the process. GMC teachers and administration go over and beyond to ensure that students are meeting their educational goals through Office Hours and other Support Programs. Offering 9 athletic teams and countless club opportunities, our students are able to thrive in what they are passionate about.

Greer Prep Academy has become GMC’s Feeder School as of 2025. There is currently a waitlist for 8th graders (27-28 9th graders).

Incoming Freshmen Applications & Enrollment
GMC typically enrolls 145 new freshmen each school year. As of 2025 Greer Preparatory Academy will be GMC’s Feeder School. Because of this a waitlist has already been established for current 8th graders, rising 9th graders.
Interested rising freshmen should submit a waitlist application as soon as possible. Students that we are able to bring in will be notified via email in early Spring. From there, Enrollment paperwork will be sent via email and will need to be returned to GMC.

Upperclassmen Applications and Enrollment for the 2026-2027 School Year
Openings in other grades are on an as-available basis throughout the school year. Please email admissions@greermiddlecollege.org to check on space availability.
Current Freshmen (Class of 2030)- Please fill out the Lottery Application via PowerSchool Enrollment to be put on the waitlist.
Current Sophomores (Class of 2029), Juniors (Class of 2028) and Seniors (Class of 2027) who would like to be put on the waitlist should apply through the application below.
