Jimmy Armstrong



Mr. Armstrong is entering his 23rd year of education.  A 1988 graduate of Laurens District 55 High School, Armstrong followed his mother’s footsteps and graduated with a degree in physical education from Lander College in 1992.  He went to Crescent High School (Anderson 3) in 1994 to teach physical education and coach basketball. In 1998, Armstrong earned a Master’s degree in Sport Management through the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama. In 2001, Armstrong added certification as a principal through Clemson University and added certification as a superintendent through University of Houston-Victoria in 2010.  As a strong believer in life-long learning, Armstrong is in his 6th semester of earning a doctorate in curriculum and instruction through the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a completion goal of Spring 2017.  Armstrong stated, “I am grateful and honored to be a part of such a great school.  Our students and teachers are a wonderful example of what can done with high expectations and strong parent/guardian involvement.”
