Kelley Bailey

Athletic Director

Coach Bailey is entering her first year as Athletic Director at GMC but her 8th year as a part of the GMC Community. Having coached volleyball and basketball at both Greer High and Greer Middle College, Coach Bailey has a passion for athletics and encouraging today’s youth to be a part of a team on and off the court/field. She is excited to see where she can take the GMC Athletic Department with the support of the amazing GMC family.


Brooke Porter

Assistant Athletic Director/Girls Soccer Coach

Brooke started playing soccer when she was 4 and continued to play organized and competitive soccer for 18 years. She finished playing in 2014 after her senior year of college soccer at North Greenville University, and began looking for a coaching position. Brooke has a huge heart for high school kids and her desire is to teach them, through sports, to be strong, upstanding members of society. This will be her 3rd season working with GMC and she looks forward to what everyone can do together!

Amanda Aldrich

Girls and Boys Swimming

Amanda Aldrich is new to the GMC athletics team and thrilled to be here as the head coach of the swim team! Although this is her first year coaching a high school swim team,  she has been coaching with SAIL for 7 years now. Prior to being a coach she was a very competitive swimmer for many years.

Jamar Armstrong

Boys Basketball

Jamar was born and raised in Gaffney, South Carolina.  He played collegiate basketball at Southern Wesleyan University.  Jamar has a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation from Southern Wesleyan University and a Master’s Degree from Liberty University in Counseling.  His hobbies are reading psychology and history books, exercising, and coaching basketball.  Jamar’s favorite sports teams are Carolina Panthers, Clemson Tigers, and Kentucky Wildcats. This is Jamar’s first season as basketball coach at GMC.

Andrea Davis

Certified Athletic Trainer

Andrea came to South Carolina in 2017 from Lindale, Georgia. Andrea received a BS Degree in Athletic Training, from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia. She then went on to complete an MA in Leadership through Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. She holds a state licensure to practice athletic training in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and she is NATA BOC Certified.


Before moving to South Carolina, Andrea began her career at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia as the Graduate Assistant for Volleyball, Wrestling, Softball and Men’s Lacrosse. After her two years at Shorter, Andrea moved to Charlotte, NC to work at Belmont Abbey College. At BAC, Andrea was in charge of Women’s Soccer, Golf, and Softball. She was chosen to travel to Italy with BAC women’s soccer and work with Serie B  Professional Soccer teams. After she found her love for soccer, she worked with FC Barcelona Futbol and started up FC Barcelona Futbol Escola of Charlotte’s Sports Medicine. Andrea also had the opportunity to work with USL  professional soccer teams such as the Harrisburg City Islanders and Charlotte Independence during her time in Charlotte. 


She has been working with the talented athletes at Greenville FC (NPSL), Greer Middle College Charter School and Eastside High School for the past year. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nephew and niece, watching University of Georgia football and Atlanta United FC, hiking, and traveling the world. Andrea resides in Greenville with her dog, Opie.

Caleb Davis

Boys Soccer/Boys Basketball

Coach Davis is entering his fourth year of teaching and coaching at GMC. He was an All-State soccer player in high school in North Carolina and played basketball for Bob Jones University where he graduated with a BS in Spanish Education. He loves teaching, coaching, and being a part of the Blazer family that is GMC and is excited about the upcoming season.

Kaci Elliott

Strength and Conditioning

Coach Elliott is entering her first year as Physical Education Teacher and Strength and Conditioning Coach. Coach Elliott is a certified personal trainer with a BS in Exercise Science who has almost 10 years of experience training athletes as well as non athletes.   Coach Elliott’s love for athletics started at a young age, as she grew up swimming competitively as well as playing basketball and softball.   She is excited to help GMC take their athletics program to the next level with strength and conditioning.


Joel Frans


Boys Golf

Joel Frans is a proud member of the GMC faculty.  He teaches math and coaches the boys’ golf team.  His beautiful wife is a 5th-grade teacher, and they have two awesome boys.  He’s excited to work with you this year as we strive towards excellence in and outside of the classroom.


Sandy Garrett

Girls Basketball

Sandy was born and raised in Atlanta.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in athletic coaching from Presbyterian College.  After several years in banking then staying at home with her young children, she went back to school and earned her master’s in education from Converse.  She coached church basketball for many years before joining the Lady Blazers basketball team in 2017.


Whitney Looper

Girls Volleyball

Whitney is going into her 4th year as a school counselor at GMC but her 1st year coaching volleyball.  She started playing volleyball at the age of 8 and started playing club at age 10.  She has been a part of Clemson Juniors, Club South, and Clemson Foothills club teams as well as Pickens High School volleyball team.  Whitney played for a state championship team as well as a national team with club.  She is excited for the opportunity to work with the volleyball teams at GMC and looks forward to seeing what the girls can achieve as they move forward with the season.

Eric Moody


Dave Smith

Cross Country, Track and Field

Coach Smith started at GMC in 2010 and has served as College Seminar Director, Assistant Principal, Athletic Administrator, Athletic Director and is currently teaching Leadership and Professional Development.

Coach Smith played Football at Western Carolina University for Coach Bob Waters and started coaching in NC in 1987. He’s been blessed to have been a part of State Championships in NC and SC in Football, Cross Country, Wrestling, Baseball and Track & Field. Coach served as Director of Leadership for the National Beta Club for 22 years and The Tomorrow’s America Foundation for 26. Former State Vice President for the State Coaches Association and was elected into it’s Hall of Fame in 2015! Proud Father of GMC AD Kelley Bailey. As always it’s a Great Day to be a Blazer! Get Fired Up!

Brent Waddell

Girls Golf

Brent Waddell was born and raised in Greer, South Carolina. He has degrees from both Greenville Tech and Spartanburg Community College. Brent has worked for Johnson Controls for the past 25 years and this year will be his third year coaching the girls golf team at GMC.
