**Special Election for the GMC Board of Directors**

Notice of Special Election for the Board of Directors

 

Due to the recent resignation of a member of the Board of Directors, Greer Middle
College Charter High School will hold a special election on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 to
fill one vacant seat for the remainder of a 2 year term, ending June 30, 2019. Online
ballots will be sent via Survey Monkey at 8:00 AM Tuesday, April 24 and you will have
until 8:00 AM on Wednesday, April 25 to submit the ballot. The results will be published
on the school website by 3 PM on Wednesday, April 25.

Nomination forms will be accepted via email from Monday, April 9 at 8 AM until 12:00
PM (noon) on Friday, April 13, 2018. Filing form is attached to this email and should be
submitted electronically to Denise Clark at dclark@greermiddlecollege.org

 

A Meet & Greet for the candidates will be held on Monday, April 23, at 5:30 PM in the
Conference Room at Greer Middle College during the regular board meeting.

 

The election results will be ratified at the board meeting on May 21, 2018.

 

All board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings, any called meetings, participate on committees, attend school events whenever possible and assist with fundraising for the school.

 

The board is elected each year by faculty, staff, and parents. Each faculty and staff member receives one vote. In addition, every family receives one vote per child in attendance. It is extremely important for you, as a member of the GMCCHS community, to exercise your right to vote.
