Greer Middle College Charter High School is a public high school located in Greer, S.C. and sponsored by The School District of Greenville County. As a public school we accept any Greenville county student based upon space available. Our charter states that we will have 100 students per grade level. Unlike the magnet program, we do not select our students based on ability.
During the month of January we have an open enrollment period where we accept applications for the following year. If the number of applications exceeds 100 per grade level, we are required by law to have a public lottery to determine acceptance into the program. GMC encourages prospective students to apply during the open enrollment period in order to be included in the lottery should one be necessary. Otherwise, students are placed on a wait list and admitted as space becomes available.
