Teacher Bio
I love teaching, and it is such a pleasure to spend time each day at Greer Middle College Charter High School. Teaching is not my “first” career. I graduated from college in 1989 with a B.S. in Business Administration. I loved working in business, and I especially loved working for Dr. E.D. Hirsch at his Core Knowledge Foundation. It was at the Core Knowledge Foundation that I became interested in education. Once I had my first child, I decided to stay home and do the toughest and most rewarding job of all…being a parent! I loved staying home with my children (I have two), but once they were in school I decided it was time for me to head back to work. I knew then that I wanted to be a teacher. So, I headed back to school and earned my masters degree and obtained my teaching certificate in special education. I graduated and started teaching in 2001.
