Bill face Dr. Roach is the Principal / Executive Director at GMC. He holds a BA in Political Science and a MA in Educational Leadership from Furman University, an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from USC, and recently topped it off by completing his ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Furman before the close of 2012. In Greenville County he has coached, taught Social Studies, served as Assistant Principal, IB Coordinator and Principal. Mr. Roach came to GMC last year from Berea High School where he served as principal for 7 years.

Mrs. Allen is starting her 2nd year at GMC this year.  She is a Greenville native with a Bachelors of Science degree in History, Secondary Education from Appalachian State University.  This is Mrs. Allen’s 13th year in education and she loves being in the classroom at GMC.  Mrs. Allen has taught a wide variety of social studies classes over the years and is excited to be teaching Global Studies 2 and Economics this year.

Amy Ballard Amy Ballard is the new Assistant Principal at GMC. She holds a BA in Secondary Education–Mathematics and a M.Ed. in Adminstration and Supervision from Clemson. Her Ed.S. and Ph.D. in Educational Administration are both from USC. She taught math and coached cheerleading for 6 years. Dr. Ballard comes to us from Laurens District 55 where she was an assistant principal for the past 4 years.

Melanie face Melanie Bargar is Director of Development. She is a former teacher in the Greenville County School District and has 2 sons attending GMC. Her passion is to see our school grow to become the school of choice in Greenville County. Her responsibilities include Fundraising, Parent Volunteers, Student Recruitment, Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising.
Shelly Bishop

Bishop This is Mrs. Bishop’s 2nd year at GMC. She taught at Mauldin High for seven years. She has a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University and a M. Ed. from Anderson University. Mrs. Bishop was in corporate America for 18 years before making the transition to education. She will be teaching Marketing, Advertising, Accounting and Service Learning this year. She, her husband Christian, and daughter Bailey (12) are excited to be a part of the Blazer family!
Alex Brilliandt

Mr. Brilliandt is our Freshman Success and Film/Video teacher. He received his BFA in Filmmaking from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and went on to earn his MAT in Secondary English at Converse College. Mr. Brilliandt previously served as an Adjunct English Instructor at Spartanburg Community College and has also worked for the National High School Institute at Northwestern University as a Faculty Associate.

Logan Chandler Logan Chandler is GMC’s new guidance counselor. She has an M.Ed. in School Counseling from Clemson University and B.A. from Wofford College. She worked for two years for the University of Virginia.

Melinda Hall is the new Master Teacher for the TAP program at GMC.  She holds a BA in Secondary Education—English from Clemson University and a M.Ed. in Secondary English from Converse College.  Ms. Hall is also a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescent Young Adult English Language Arts (AYA-ELA 2002). She has taught middle and high school English for twenty years, and most recently worked as a middle and high school instructional coach.

Ms. Lewis has taught at Lugoff Elgin High, and in Greenville at Northwest Middle School, Bryson Middle School, Lakeview Middle School and Lifelong Learning. She has been at Greer Middle College for three years. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College and a Masters of Education from Southern Wesleyan University. She has taught Algebra I, II, Geometry and Math Support. This is her fourth year at GMC and loves every minute of it.

keith mccaskill face Mr. McCaskill is teaching Physical Science and Physics. He received an A.A. from Spartanburg Methodist, B.S. in Science Education from Clemson University, Master in Science Education from Clemson and +30 from various universities in the Upstate. Before coming to GMC in 2010, Mr. McCaskill taught at Greer Middle for 8 years, Hillcrest High for 10 years and Riverside High for 16 years. Mr. McCaskill is certified to teach all science courses.

She holds an AOS in Accounting from Utica School of Commerce Utica/Rome , a BPS in Management/Accounting from SUNY College of Technology Utica/Rome and a Masters + 30 from SUNY at Oswego College and Converse College in Business Education. She has been a teacher for 14 yrs. Mrs. Moore teaches Business Computer Applications and Digital Literacy.  She is also the Yearbook advisor.
