I wanted to take this opportunity to say how excited I am to become a part of the Greer
Middle College family. I would like to personally thank each person who is involved in the life of
GMC. I am especially appreciative of the faculty, staff, and parents for their countless hours of
hard work and dedication to our school.
GMC has started a wonderful tradition of excellence and we are looking to continue that
tradition this year. Our mission statement “Greer Middle College aspires to create an equitable
community of learners in which mutual respect, trust, integrity, and the pursuit of ideas are valued
and appreciated” shows our commitment to this excellence. Our goal is to prepare students for
success as they leave GMC, while providing opportunities for our students to be successful while
they are still with us. We want our students to raise the bar academically by not only taking college
classes, but to also be successful in those college classes. This will in turn produce graduates who
are better equipped to handle the stresses of being a college student by having completed college
credits before graduating from high school. In order to achieve these goals we must work together
as a school and community.
Greer Middle College and the Greer community share a rich tradition and we want to
continue to build on that tradition. We encourage each of you to find ways, either through
volunteering your time or your money, to be a part of the Greer Middle College family. Thank you
again for your dedication and service to Greer Middle College, Greenville Technical College and
the Greer Community.
